Day 01 – Arrive Delhi
Welcome to the city of Delhi, the capital of India. It is a cultural center rich in history.
Day 02 – In Delhi
You will be shuttled to a guided tour of Old and New Delhi which is the third largest city in India. Among the highlights are visits to Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Raj Gat, Birla Mandir, India Gate, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Humayun’s Tomb (see picture below), Qutub Minar and Bahai’s Temple.
Day 03 – Fly Delhi – Nagpur & Drive Nagpur – Pench (80 kms/ 1.5 hrs)
You enjoy the park that is rich in forest land and open grasslands as well as habitat for sloth bears, leopards, tigers, deer and hundreds of species of birds. Later, as part of the Tiger Safari Tours India, you can experience an elephant ride and tour the grounds in a Jeep to catch a glimpse of a tiger.
Day 04 - In Pench
You continue your game rides in the Pench National Park in Jeeps. Naturalists offer education on the area and the wildlife.
Day 05 – Drive Pench – Kanha (250 kms/ 05 hrs)
You arrive at Kanha National Park. Its environmental successes include the largest tiger population in India and the proliferation of swamp deer.
Day 06 – In Kanha
Riding in a Jeep, you enjoy one last game safari in Kanha.
Day 07 –Drive Kanha – Bandhavgarh (325 kms/ 07 hrs)
The third tiger reserve for Tiger Safari Tours India is Bandhavgarh; it is unique because it has white tigers.
Day 08 –In Bandhavgarh
You enjoy morning and afternoon game rides in Bandhavgarh National Park.
Day 09 –Overnight train Bandhavgarh – Agra
A morning game safari is followed by an overnight train trip to Agra. You anticipate the next destination with childlike fervor.
Day 10 –Arrive Agra
You will be awestruck by the sight of India’s beloved treasure, the Taj Mahal. Constructed in 1631, it was Emperor Shah Jahan’s dedication to his wife Mumtaj Mahal.
Day 11 –Drive Agra – Delhi (220 kms/04 hrs) and depart Delhi
